The Mont Marte Premium Cotton Watercolour Paper Block A5 is a high-quality 300gsm, 100% cotton paper designed for watercolour, ink and a variety of wet and dry media techniques. The cold-pressed paper features a rough tooth that provides excellent texture and surface character while allowing watercolour washes and pigments to perform beautifully. Its cotton construction helps minimise shrinkage and provides excellent resistance to pilling during painting. The sheets are gummed around the edges, helping to keep the paper flat and reduce warping as water is applied. This means there is no need to stretch each sheet before painting, making the block convenient for studio work, classes and painting on the go.
Allow your artwork to dry completely before removing it. Slide a palette knife carefully underneath the top sheet at the non-gummed opening and gently work around the edges to separate the finished artwork from the block.
